Robert Johansson (b. 1977 in Grums, Sweden) works with themes such as lemniskate- the wheel of nature and Naturgemälde- the notion of nature as a web of life in its collection of ecosystems and interrelationships.

Wood, as a material and as a theme, is reoccuring in many of his works. He works with drawing, sculpture, installation, photocollage and print.

Johansson studied at The National Academy of Fine Arts Oslo and Akademie der bildenden Künste in Vienna.

Previous shows include Klimalab, Nobel Peace Center (NO), Dark Drawn, Vilnius (LT), Oslo Utmark (NO), The Drawing Museum (SE), North Norwegian Art Centre (NO), Nils Aas kunstverksted (NO), Värmland Museum (SE), Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art (NO), SP Gallery, Stockholm (SE), Alma Löv Museum (SE), The Drawing Association (NO), 3rd Beijing International Art Biennale (CH), Sweet Punch: Recent Nordic Video (NZ) and ARS 06, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Helsinki (FI).

Johansson has a wide experience with public art, having been involved in 20 projects as an artist, technician or art consultant.
